This study is an account of the psychological therapy process of a child in Santana do Livramento - RS. She experienced living alone with her mother, suffering with mental illness, and her grandmother, having arteriosclerosis. The child developed an adult behavior, denying her childhood, considered by the author as way to adapt to this stressing situation.
