La salud infantil es un problema mundial conocido por todos. En la búsqueda de soluciones, las organizaciones
mundiales han observado los factores ambientales que influyen en ella y afectan la población en general, especial

mente la población infantil, por ser esta una de las más vulnerables. Esta revisión busca integrar el concepto de salud,
el mayor riesgo que presentan los niños, el nuevo concepto de ecodesarrollo y la historia clínica ambiental pediátrica.
En el ámbito de salud y del medio ambiente, se ha visto a través de los tiempos, cómo los diferentes contaminantes
provocan en el ser humano enfermedades que antes no existían; igualmente se ha visto el aumento del riesgo de
presentar algunas patologías que pueden incluso terminar en la muerte del paciente.
Children’s health is a known worldwide problem; around
the globe different organizations have been searching for
solutions and found that environmental factors widely
influence health in the entire population, especially in
children because of the vulnerability caused by their age.
This review intends to integrate the concept of health with
the higher risk that children have and the new concept of
eco-development and the pediatric environmental health
history. Thanks to the health and environmental scope
we know that through time the different contaminants
have produce in the human being diseases that didn’t
exist in the past; it has also increased the risk of having
some pathologies associated with death.
A saúde ambiental é um problema mundial conhecido por
todos. Em busca de soluções, as organizações mundiais
têm observado que os fatores ambientais influenciam a
saúde e afetam a população em geral, especialmente as
crianças por serem mais vulneráveis.
Este artigo integra os conceitos de saúde, do risco corrido
pela população infantil, do novo conceito de desenvol
-
vimento sustentável e da história clínica-ambiental
pediátrica.
Focando no âmbito da saúde e do meio ambiente, nos
tem mostrado como diferentes contaminantes causam
doenças no ser humano previamente inexistentes e tem
aumentado o risco de patologias que podem levar à morte.
