Dificuldades enfrentadas pela mãe na primeira visita à unidade neonatal

Trata-se de um estudo de caso, de natureza descritiva, realizado com duas mulheres em uma maternidade-escola de Fortaleza-CE. Teve como objetivo identificar as dificuldades enfrentadas pelas puérperas para encontrar os filhos prematuros em uma Unidade de Internação Neonatal (UIN). Os dados foram coletados em dezembro/2004, por meio de entrevista semi-estruturada. Os resultados demonstraram que existem falhas na comunicação entre a equipe de saúde e as puérperas; as mães sentem dificuldade para encontrar seus filhos e sugerem a presença de um profissional que as informe para qual UIN o bebê será levado após o parto. Concluí-se ser necessário repensar as formas de comunicação e acolhimento da puérpera na maternidade, priorizando o cuidado humano.
t is a case study, of descriptive nature, accomplished with two women in a maternity-scholl of Fortaleza-CE. Had as objective identififyng the difficulties faced by mothers after chidbirth to find their premature children in a Neonatal Asdmittance Unit (UIN). The data were collected in December/2004, through semi-structured interview. The results showed that are flaws in communication between the helath team and the mothers; the mothers have difficulties in finding their babies and they suggest the precence of a professional to tell them to which UIN their children will be taken to after the chidbirth. We concluded that it is necessary to rethink about the ways of communication and the mother's reception in the maternity prioritizing the human care.
