Cuidado humanizado com o neonato sob foto-terapia: Conhecimento e prática do enfermeiro

A fototerapia é o tratamento inicial da icterícia neonatal, uma alteração bastante comum em neonatos. Objetivamos avaliar a prática dos enfermeiros acerca dos cuidados de enfermagem aos neonatos em uso de fototerapia em uma unidade neonatal; identificar quais os cuidados de enfermagem praticados com o neonato sob fototerapia e avaliar o conhecimento do enfermeiro acerca dos cuidados preconizados na literatura ao neonato sob fototerapia. estudo descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa, realizado em agosto/setembro/2006, com quinze enfermeiras da Unidade de Internação Neonatal de um hospital público em Fortaleza-CE. Utilizamos a entrevista semi-estruturada para coleta de dados. A análise se deu à luz da literatura pertinente ao tema. Constatamos que a equipe de enfermagem prioriza os cuidados técnicos ao neonato fototerapia, que são importantes, mas sentimos a falta do ser humano como foco central do cuidado de enfermagem. Concluímos que a competência técnica não pode estar dissociada da humanização do cuidado. O enfermeiro deve zelar pela qualidade da assitência de enfermagem, de forma holística e humanística.
The phototherapy is the initial treatment of neonatal jaundice, a change quite common in newborns. We have the objective to evaluate the practice of nurses on the nursing care for newborns in use of phototherapy in a neonatal unit, identify the nursing care practiced with the newborn under phototherapy and assess the knowledge of the nurses about the care recommended in the literature on the newborn phototherapy. Study descriptive with qualitative approach, held in August and September/2006, with fifteen nurses of Unit of Newborn Internment of a public hospital in Fortaleza-CE. We use the interview half-structuralized to collect data. The analysis was carried trough the light the ligght of pertinent literature to the subject. We evidence that the nursing team prioritizes the cares technician to the newborn under phototherapy that they are important, but we feel the lack of the huaman being as central focus of the care of nursing. We conclude that the ability technique cannot be disentailed of the humanization of the care. The nurse must watch over for the quality of the nursing assistance, of holistic and humanistic form.
