Conhecimento e realização do auto-exame das mamas em um grupo de mulheres mastectomizadas

Estudo transversal com 46 mulheres que tiveram CA de mama. Foi aplicado um questionário referente ao conheciemnto e prática do AE e possíveis fatores associados, com os objetivos de analisar o conhecimento das participantes sobre a técnica do AE das mamas, identificar a frequência da realização do AE por este grupo e caracterizar fatores que favorecem ou limitam sua prática. A maioria das entrevistadas disse conhecer a técnica do AE, mas não o realizar com frequência, na maioria das vezes, por esquecimento. Estes resultados nos mostram a necessidade da realização de campanhas com informações que sejam eficazes no que se refere a estimular e tornar habital o AE, como prática de saúde e conhecimento do próprio corpo.
Study cross with 46 women who had breast, CA. It applied a questionnaire relating to the knowledge and practice of AE and possible factors associated with the purposes of analyzing the knowledge of participants on the AE technique of breasts, identify the frequency of the completion of AE by this group and characterize factors that promote or limit its practice. Most of the respondents said knowing the technique of AE, but not perform often, in most cases, for forgetting. These results show us the necessity of performing with information campaigns that are effective with respect to stimulate and make the usual AE, and practice of health and knowledge of the body.
