A possibilidade em cursar pós-doutorado no país ou no exterior mostra-se como uma oportunidade de qualificação e consolidação do conhecimento em áreas específicas, além de favorecer o estabelecimento de parcerias e intercâmbios entre universidades e instituições de pesquisa nacionais e/ou internacionais, e assim reforçar a pós-graduação e os grupos de pesquisa existentes no país. Considerado como o último estágio do ensino superior e não obrigatório para o doutor, postdoc como é mundialmente conhecido, não confere um título ou incentivo salarial após sua conclusão na carreira da docência ou do pesquisador na instituição no qual se encontra vinculado.
The possibility of studying postdoctoral studies in the country or abroad is an opportunity toqualify and consolidate knowledge in specificareas, as well as to foster partnerships and exchanges between universities and nationaland/or international research institutions, and in this way strengt hen the graduate and research groups existing in the country.Considered as the last stage of higher education and not compulsory for the doctor, postdoc as it isknown world wide, it does not confer a title orsalary incentive after its conclusion in the teachingcareer or the researcher in the institution to whichit is linked.
