La profesional tiene por objeto desarrollar los conocimientos que sirven para precisar y guiar la práctica disciplinar. En el campo de la enfermería es el cuidado, mismo que permite dominar los acontecimientos que están ligados a la experiencia profesional. El desarrollo disciplinar debe partir de la realidad de la profesión, pues es a partir de ella que se construye científi camente el conocimiento y se aplica sistemáticamente en la asistencia; además se contrasta, se valida y se produce un proceso de retroalimentación entre los conocimientos teóricos y su vinculación con la práctica. El estudio de caso nos permite valorar y dar realce a los cuidados especializados que requiere la persona, como en el caso de un diagnóstico médico de malformación de Arnold-Chiari, el cual consiste en diferentes defectos del romboencéfalo que probablemente no están relacionadas entre sí; sin embargo, la trascendencia que tiene el utilizar un método propio de enfermería para llevar a cabo la secuencia y evolución de la propia persona, así como dar un cuidado a la persona con secuelas neurológicas teniendo como marco a una referencial teórica en enfermería en este rubro, tal como sucede con el modelo de Dorothea Orem, es utilizado para proporcionar los cuidados especializados y obtener un máximo benefi cio del agente, identifi cando las desviaciones de los requisitos universales, de desarrollo y de salud de la persona de acuerdo con el grado de compromiso, en donde se defi ne un plan de atención especializado que identifi que las demandas de autocuidado para establecer el sistema de enfermería a utilizar según dicha teórica

The case study allows us to assess and enhance the specialized care required by the individual, as in the case of a medical diagnosis of Arnold-Chiari malformation, which consists of different hindbrain defects probably unrelated to each other; however, the importance that the proper nursing method to use for carrying out the sequence and evolution of the person, and care given to the patient having neurological sequelae as a theoretical framework and benchmark for nursing in this issue, just as with the model of Dorothea Orem, used to provide the specialized care and get the maximum benefi t of the agent, identifying deviations from the universal requirements for the development and health of the person according to the degree of commitment, where a specialized care plan that identifi es self-care demands is defi ned to set the nursing system to use in accordance with the said theoretical
