RESUMEN Introducción:
La enfermería desarrolla su actuar en el cuidado de las personas, para ello requiere conocimientos, habilidades y destrezas, aspectos en los cuales se enfoca la Filosofía de Patricia Benner. Objetivo:
Describir los reportes de la literatura científica respecto a la aplicación de la Filosofía de Patricia Benner en la formación de profesionales de enfermería. Métodos:
Estudio documental basado en la propuesta de Taylor y Bogdan. Las unidades de análisis fueron artículos originales de investigación cualitativa, cuantitativa, mixta, de revisión y de reflexión en español, inglés y portugués, sin restricción temporal, de libre acceso al texto completo, disponibles en las bases de datos PubMed, Science Direct, Nursing@ovid, CINAHL, Clinical key, CUIDEN, Lilacs, Ovid, Ebsco, Scielo y el metabuscador Google Scholar. Conclusiones:
La Filosofía de Benner ha sido aplicada en el diseño, desarrollo, ejecución y evaluación de currículos de enfermería en diversas partes del mundo, adicionalmente su adaptación de la fenomenología hermenéutica ha sido utilizada en investigación en enfermería(AU)

Nursing develops actions for the caring of people, for which it requires knowledge, skills and abilities, aspects focused on in Patricia Benner's Philosophy. Objective:
To describe the scientific literature reports regarding the application of Patricia Benner's Philosophy in the training of nursing professionals. Methods:
Document study based on the proposal by Taylor and Bogdan. The units of analysis were the original articles of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed review, review and reflection articles, whether in Spanish, English and Portuguese, without temporal restriction, free access to the full text, available in the databases PubMed, Science Direct, Nursing@ovid, CINAHL, Clinical key, CUIDEN, Lilacs, Ovid, Ebsco, Scielo, and the metasearch engine Google Scholar. Conclusions:
Benner's Philosophy has been applied in the design, development, execution and evaluation of nursing curricula in different parts of the world. Besides, its adaptation of hermeneutical phenomenology has been used in nursing research(AU)
