Higiene de manos en el personal de salud en un ámbito hospitalario. Una revisión de la literatura

En este artículo el objetivo es identificar el cumplimento a la adherencia de la higiene de manos de los profesionales de salud asistencial a partir de información generada por artí-culos científicos con estudios de caso en diferentes países, por tanto, se describe y analiza la tasa de adherencia, y se determina si el lavado que están haciendo es clínico, si la fric-ción con base alcohólica es más rápida y efectiva comparada con el lavado de manos con agua y jabón. También se identificó que solución utilizan para hacer el lavado de manos y la aplicación de los cinco momentos adecuadamente, estableciendo cuál es el momento que más adherencia tiene el profesional de salud.Se analizó la adherencia del lavado de manos según los cinco momentos de la higiene de manos estipulados en el manual técnico de referencia para la higiene de manos por la OMS; los resultados se compararon entre sí, generando que el tercer momento, ha sido el mejor porcentaje de adherencia, diferente a el segundo. También se identificó que el promedio de la tasa de adherencia por el personal de salud del ámbito hospitalario fue del 44,1% dando como resultado negativo a su adherencia según la clasificación emitida por la OMS.Se utilizaron 10 artículos referentes a la correcta aplicación del protocolo del lavado de manos en un ámbito hospitalario, estos números no hacen más que constatar la poca progresión de trabajos, publicaciones y autores aportando a esta área académica y de in-vestigación en los últimos 5 años.
In this article, the objective is to identify compliance with the adherence to hand hygiene of healthcare professionals based on information generated by scientific articles with case studies in different countries, therefore, the adherence rate is described and analyzed. and it is determined if the washing they are doing is clinical, if alcohol-based friction is faster and more effective compared to washing hands with soap and water. It was also identi-fied what solution they use to do hand washing and the application of the five moments appropriately, establishing which is the moment that the health professional has the most adherence.Adherence to hand washing was analyzed according to the five moments of hand hy-giene stipulated in the technical reference manual for hand hygiene by the WHO; The results were compared with each other, generating that the third moment was the best percentage of adherence, different from the second. It was also identified that the average adherence rate by health personnel in the hospital setting was 44.1%, resulting in negative adherence according to the classification issued by the WHO.10 articles referring to the correct application of the handwashing protocol in a hospital setting were used, these numbers only confirm the little progression of works, publica-tions and authors contributing to this academic and research area in the last 5 years.
