Research design: a contribution to the author

Aim:

helping readers, researchers and authors to understand the main research design used in nursing and health area in general.

Method:

bibliographic research.

Results:

schematic board in one sheet with the main characteristics of diverse designs or methodologies used in health area.

Four categories were identified:

experimental, non-experimental, secondary and additional. The detachment of categories resulted in 36 designs.

Conclusion:

The proposed tool constitutes a enabler for authors to fill the article with completed information in different sections: title, methodology and metadata.
