A contribuição da área de filosofia, ética e bioética na Escola de Enfermagem de Ribeirão Preto - USP

Este trabalho pretende refletir sobre a importância da Ética na formação em Enfermagem, através do relato da constituição da área e disciplinas na EERP/USP. No intuito de contribuir para o debate sobre o papel dos conteúdos humanísticos nas reformulações curriculares, a referência à EERP se faz presente por se constituir pioneira na conformação de conteúdos curriculares em ciências humanas em sua origem; a área atual de ética é composta pela filosofia, ética e bioética e permanece fiel aos princípios de sua fundadora, Glete de Alcântara. Tal reflexão mostra-se relevante na medida em que a Ética fundamenta a postura profissional, e a Bioética propicia o desenvolvimento da visão crítica sobre a pluralidade de valores que permeiam as relações em Saúde. As Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais dos Cursos de Graduação em Enfermagem (CNE/ME/BR) enfatizam a importância de conhecimentos em ética e bioética para a formação generalista em Enfermagem.
This work intends to reflect about the importance of the Ethics in Nursing Education, through the report of the constitution of the area and disciplines at the Ribeirão Preto School of Nursing – University of São Paulo (EERP/USP). Reference is made to EERP/USP owing to the fact that it is the pioneer institution in adjusting to the curricular contents of human sciences, therefore contributing with the debate about the role that humanistic contents have in curriculum reorganizations. The current area of ethics is composed by philosophy, ethics, and bioethics, and remains loyal to the founder’s, Glete de Alcântara, principles. Such reflection is important inasmuch as Ethics is the foundation for professional posture, and Bioethics grants the development of critical vision over the plurality of values that involve Health relations. The National Curricular Guidelines of Graduation Courses in Nursing (CNE/ME/BR) emphasize the importance of knowledge in ethics and bioethics for the generalist education in Nursing.
