Perfil dos pacientes com transplante renal de um hospital universitário de Fortaleza-CE

The renal transplant is the majority choice treatment of the patients with chronic renal deficiency. Such fact it owes to the appearance of powerful immunosuppressive drugs and to the rigorous criterion in the donors' choice. It aimed identify patients' renal transplanted profile. Quantitative study of cross-sectional, exploratory and descriptive type, performed in hospital academic of Fortaleza, between months from december/2004 to april/2005. The data collection instrument was an interview script. The results showed that most was of the masculine sex, with average 40 year and 51,7% lived with companion. The average family income was of 4,44 minimum wages and most was retired. We realize that the profile study of these patients provided us a reality larger knowledge, contributing to address the ambulatory assistance to this clientele.
O transplante renal é o tratamento de escolha da maioria dos pacientes com insuficiência renal crônica. Tal fato deve-se ao surgimento de potentes drogas imunossupressoras e ao rigoroso critério na escolha dos doadores. Objetivou-se identificar o perfil dos pacientes transplantados renais. Estudo quantitativo do tipo transversal, exploratório e descritivo, realizado no hospital universitário de Fortaleza-CE, entre os meses de dezembro/2004 a abril/2005. O instrumento de coleta de dados foi um roteiro de entrevista. Os resultados mostraram que a maioria era do sexo masculino, com média de 40 anos e 51,7% viviam com companheiro. A renda familiar média era de 4,44 salários mínimos e a maioria era aposentado. Percebemos que o estudo do perfil desses pacientes nos proporcionou um maior conhecimento da realidade, contribuindo para nortear a assistência ambulatorial a essa clientela.
