Uso de cobertura não convencional no tratamento de ferida isquêmica em paciente portador de anemia falciforme: estudo de caso
Use of non-conventional coverage in ischemic wound treatment in patients with sickle cell anemia: case study

This study aims to report the case of a patient with sickle cell anemia, that had right calcaneal ulcer, treated topically with coverage based on collagen and aloe vera. Clinical case study, developed in a public hospital in João Pessoa-PB, which is part of an experimental research project for the development of new technologies for wound treatment. History was taken and physical examination was performed, and the information was recorded in the evaluation form of the client. Bandages were applied, evaluations and daily logs of the lesion were made and photographs were taken to assist in monitoring the response of the lesion to the applied coverage. During the appointments, guidelines were given on systematic medical follow-up, on the diet, on the abstention from alcohol, to rest and to prevent new injuries on the wound. The client reported gradual reduction of pain, attendance to hematologist appointments, caution to prevent trauma on the injury, abandonment of alcoholism and diet was followed within their economic possibilities, The treatment lasted approximately five weeks, showing rapid healing process, without discomfort or complications arising from the use of coverage. The coverage showed good tolerability and therapeutic efficacy in the given case.
Este estudo tem como objetivo relatar o caso de um paciente com anemia falciforme, portador de úlcera no calcâneo direito, tratado topicamente com cobertura à base de colágeno e Aloe vera. Estudo de caso clínico, desenvolvido em um hospital público de João Pessoa-PB e que faz parte de um projeto de pesquisa experimental para o desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias para o tratamento de feridas. Foi realizada anamnese e exame físico, sendo as informações registradas na ficha de avaliação do cliente. Foram realizados curativos, avaliações, registros diários da lesão, bem como fotografias para auxiliar no acompanhamento da resposta da lesão à cobertura aplicada. Durante os atendimentos foram feitas orientações em relação ao acompanhamento médico sistemático, à dieta, à abstenção do etilismo, ao repouso e à prevenção de novos traumas sobre a lesão. O cliente referiu diminuição progressiva da dor, frequência às consultas com o hematologista, seguimento da dieta dentro das suas possibilidades econômicas, cuidados para prevenção de trauma sobre a lesão e abandono do etilismo. O tratamento teve a duração de aproximadamente cinco semanas, evidenciando-se rápido processo cicatricial, sem desconfortos ou complicações decorrentes do uso da cobertura. A cobertura apresentou boa tolerabilidade e eficácia terapêutica para o caso em tela.
