The work here summarized is the conclusion of a one semester discussion about the notion of childlike self extermination that was developed by teachers and students from Family and Couple methods research discipline of PUC/SP Psychologist Center. Our purpose in this discussion was to think about the notion of childlike self extermination as a different term in its meaning, related to suicide notion, often associated with depression or child accident, as usually it is identify in health services. This discussion was based in an attendance report of a nine year old girl, her family and professionals involved, in a public institution. After that, for an opened understanding, we retook questions related to self destruction behavior, physical and emotional violence against the child and her family's dynamic and death idea during childhood, analyzing them as inclinations, facilitate or not to this act occurrence. The pointed conclusions were that the bibliography about this subject is limited and as a rule is associated with child psychology notion, as depression.
