This paper proposes to analyze the difficulties that health professional of a non-governmental organization in Rio de Janeiro find in the process of counseling children and adolescents, victims of abuse. The methodology used for investigation was a qualitative and quantitative approach. The results show that professional's performance is still isolated and individualized.
