Adoção: estereotipias nos programs televisivos

The purpose of his work is to discuss the influence of the TV in the relationship of families with adoptive children, when it is broadcasted reporting, soap operas and programs in which an aggressive episode occurs, having an adoptive person as a protagonist. The TV has shown, in a sensationalist and violent way, adoptive people's life being too aggressive, in fiction as much as in reality. It has been noticed that just after the TV programs are broadcasted, parents of adoptive children show insecurity and apprehension to think that this sort of thing could also happen at homes. The clinic work done by the authors at the psychological clinic of Federal University of Uberlandia, with two sessions a day, one of them with the children and other one with the parents, has been to size up the situation in order to promote the understanding of the real facts of their lives, separated from the confusion broadcasted on TV. The clinic experience shows that there are no meaningful differences between the adoptive and biological children issue and there are many biological children with serious problems related to aggressiveness because their parents did not adopt limits in the process of raising children. As a conclusion, the media has exercised the job to provoke insecurity to parents who have already adopted and resistance to the ones who intend to adopt but fear the suffering that is dramatized on the TV screen...
