This present work was made in the women police station of Uberlândia, MG. During two years almost a hundred abused were interviewed. These data collection show the relation between domestic violence against woman, her age, the beginning of conflicts, her family structure and her husband's family structure, the type of aggression and the presence of alcoholism in the family. This survey proposes to search the similarities between these women to construct a profile to serve as an aid for professional to assist these women face the abusive situation as well as to prevent violence. The results of the analysis of the interviews show a similarity in the women life history. It is common the presence of alcoholism on their family as well as the existence of abuse relationship in her family of origin.
