Ser mãe e estar com AIDS: o revivescimento do pecado original

O presente estudo teve por objetivo a compreensão do significado de estacom AIDS para mães portadoras de HIV/AIDS, tendo a preocupaçào de identificar as emoçòes e os modos de enfrentamento decorrentes da sua relaçào com o filho sadio. a trajetória desta investigaçào foi realizada à luz da teoria das representações sociais na perspectiva da Psicologia social, tendo como resultante "ser mãe" e "estar com AIDS" representado como um processo que nào se esgota na doença, por fazer-se presente, de forma contínua e dramática, mas se mostra vinculado à polaridade do bem e do mal, que são defendidos e cultivados pelo cristianismo. Traz ainda a sexualidade como algo que contém essas polaridades e a AIDS, vinculada ao seu aspecto mal. Nesse caminho, as mulheres deste estudo mostraram, em seus depoimentos, que se julgam culpadas de algo e, portanto, merecem o castigo que sua doença lhes impõe
The objective of this study is to understand the AIDS meaning to HIV/AIDS mothers, with the concern of identifiyng the emotions in order to face the problem which results from the relationship with the healthy son. The trajectory of this investigation was determined based on the social representations theory by Social Psychology perspective, in which the ideas of "being a mother" and "being an HIV positive" represent a process that doesn't finish with the desease but represent a continous and dramatical way. This process is linked to the polarity good/evil worshiped by the Cristianity. It also brings up the sexuality as something that contains the same polarity which the evil aspect is related to AIDS. By this way, women presented in this study and their testimonies showed that they consider themselves guilty and deserve the penalty that AIDS impose on them
