A realização deste estudo baseou-se nas atuais propostas de assistência à mulher no ciclo gravídico-puerperal. Teve por objetivos identificar os fatores que interferem na implementação da prática do contato corporal precoce entre mãe e recém-nascido e verificar a opinião dos profissionais que assistem o binômio nesta proposta de trabalho. A pesquisa foi realizada no Hospital Público Municipal de Diadema, com a aplicação de um questionário respondido pelos profissionais atuantes no Centro Obstétrico. A amostra constitui-se de 76 profissionais de saúde. Os resultados demonstraram que os fatores dificultadores podem ser superados pela sensibilização da equipe, pela definição da filosofia de trabalho, pela normatização de condutas e pelo empenho dos profissionais. Conclui-se, portanto, pela necessidade da realização de programas de treinamento e de sensibilização que contemplem todos os profissionais envolvidos no processo.
This study was carried out after considering the current purpose of assisting the woman in her puerperal-gravidic cycle. Its aims are to identify the factors that interfere in the implementation of the early corporal contact practice between the mother and the newborn and verify the opinion of the professionals who assist the binomial related to this working proposal. The study was carried out at the Municipal Public Hospital in Diadema - São Paulo. It was handed out a questionnaire, which was answered by the 76 health practioners from the obstetric center. The results showed that the hampering factors can be overcome by the sensitiveness of the team, by the definition of work philosophy, by the regulation of the conduct and by the professionals commitment. It was concluded that it is necessary to introduce training and sensitiveness programs that reach all the professionals involved.
