Objetivo:
Determinar si existe relación entre el nivel de competencias para el cuidado en el hogar de la diada persona con cáncer en quimioterapia y su cuidador familiar. Método:
estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo, correlacional de corte transversal. Participaron 80 diadas (persona con cáncer en quimioterapia-cuidador familiar) que asistieron a los servicios de hospitalización de hemato-Oncologia y centro de cáncer de una institución de cuarto nivel de atención del municipio de Floridablanca. Instrumentos:
Ficha de caracterización de la Diada cuidador-persona con enfermedad crónica; Competencia para el cuidado en el hogar de la persona con enfermedad crónica/cuidador familiar versión larga. Análisis:
se utilizó estadística descriptiva y análisis inferencial a través del coeficiente de correlación de Spearman y Test de U. Mann Whitney. Resultados:
Las diadas en su mayoría son mujeres, de estratos socioeconómicos 2 y 3, con niveles de estudio de Bachillerato en su mayoría, ocupación de hogar en los cuidadores y pensionados en las personas con cáncer. La percepción de apoyo familiar es alta, los niveles de bienestar físico, psicológico, religioso, económico y social son aceptables, aunque refieren bajo uso de las tecnologías para el cuidado consideran que la de mejor apropiación es el televisor. La competencia para el cuidado en el hogar de la diada en general y por dimensiones presenta puntajes medios, siendo ligeramente más baja en las personas con cáncer en quimioterapia. Se identificó una correlación débil sin ser estadísticamente significativa entre la competencia de la persona con cáncer y su cuidador familiar. (p=0,067). Sin embargo, en las dimensiones conocimiento, disfrutar, anticipación y relación e interacción social se encontró relación positiva y estadísticamente significativa. Conclusión:
La competencia para el cuidado en el hogar de la diada persona con cáncer en quimioterapia y su cuidador familiar se constituye como un fenómeno central a intervenir en el cuidado de enfermería durante la transición hospital-hogar y en la generación de planes de alta que aseguren la continuidad del tratamiento.

The perception of familiar support is high, the acceptable levels of physical, psychological, religious, economic well-being and social sound, though they recount under use of the technologies for the care they think that that of better appropriation is the television. The competition for the care in the home of the dyad in general and for dimensions he presents scores means, being lightly lower in the persons with cancer in chemotherapy. A weak correlation was identified without being statistically significant between the competition of the person with cancer and his familiar keeper. (P=0,067). Nevertheless, in the dimensions knowledge, to enjoy, anticipation and relation and social interaction was positive and statistically significant relation. Conclusion:
The competition for the care in the home of the dyad presents with cancer in chemotherapy and his familiar keeper is constituted as a central phenomenon to controlling in the care of infirmary during the transition hospital - home and in the generation of plans of discharge that assure the continuity of the treatment.
