Ser ativo todos os dias - um processo de capacitação dos idosos
Publication year: 2019
Regular practice of physical activity contributes to the prevention and treatment of non-communicable chronic diseases, as hypertension and obesity, improving mental health and thus well-being and quality of life. In contrast, non-adherence to physical activity has a negative impact on community well-being and economic development. This community intervention project was based on 16 elderly people, whose general objective is to empower the elderly to practice daily physical activity. This project was scientifically supported by Betty Neuman's Theoretical Model and as methodology of Health Planning were used. The interventions were planned according to the needs, aiming to develop an intervention to promote the practice of physical activity in the elderly.
