Prevenção de quedas - capacitar para prevenir

O impacto das quedas associadas ao envelhecimento atinge negativamente toda a sociedade com graves consequências pessoais, familiares, sociais. A enfermagem comunitária assume um papel fundamental na prevenção desta situação, através da sensibilização da comunidade para esta problemática, e da capacitação dos intervenientes nos cuidados aos idosos. O projeto de intervenção comunitária que se apresenta, neste âmbito, foi desenvolvido na unidade de cuidados na comunidade Chamusca/Golegã, entre fevereiro e julho de 2015. Abrangeu treze cuidadoras formais em cada um dos dois centros de apoio social, com a finalidade de capacitá-las para contribuir para a prevenção de quedas nos idosos. O referencial teórico utilizado foi o modelo de sistemas de Neuman. Recorreu-se à revisão sistemática de literatura como suporte à prática baseada na evidência. Em termos metodológicos, seguiu-se a metodologia do planeamento em saúde. A intervenção realizada permitiu obter resultados sensíveis à ação de enfermagem, bem como o desenvolvimento de competências específicas de Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Comunitária
The impact of falls in elderly people affects all society negatively having serious personal, family and social consequences. The community nursing take on a fundamental role in the prevention of this situation by raising awareness of the community to this problem and the training of the elderly caregivers. This project of community intervention, was developed on the community care unit of Chamusca/Golegã, between February and July of 2015. It covered thirteen professional careers in each of the two social support centres, with the goal of training them to prevent the falls in elderly people. The theoretical framework used in this project was the Neuman systems model. It was used a systematic review of the literature to support the evidence-based practice. In methodological terms, it was employed the planning in health methodology. This intervention allows to obtain results sensible to the act of nursing as well as the development of competences specifics of the Community Specialist Nurse
