A dinâmica familiar tem vindo a alterar-se deixando cada vez menos tempo livre para que pais e filhos interajam. Efetuou-se uma revisão sistemática de literatura para encontrar a resposta à questão “Que resultados, ao nível da interação, advêm da intervenção do enfermeiro na promoção da brincadeira entre pais e filhos?”. Os resultados encontrados demonstraram que a relação lúdica entre pais e filhos poderia iniciar-se com diferentes objetivos mas que os resultados passariam pela promoção da relação,da comunicação edo desenvolvimento físico, cognitivo, da linguagem, e emocional e social. O enfermeiro ao promover a relação lúdica entre pais e filhos está a desenvolver uma competência específica do enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde da Criança e do Jovem, que é prestar cuidados específicos em resposta às necessidades do ciclo de vida e de desenvolvimento da criança e do jovem, maximizando o potencial do desenvolvimento infantil
