Antecedentes:
Se han efectuado diferentes tipos de estudios acerca de la importancia de la lactancia materna, pero son pocos los realizados desde la relevancia que tiene para los actores involucrados, en este caso para la madre. Por lo tanto se ve la necesidad de explorar el significado asignado a la experiencia de la práctica del amamantamiento.
Objetivo:
Describir el significado de la experiencia de la lactancia materna exclusiva para la madre, en los primeros seis meses de vida de su hijo, en un grupo de madres de un hogar FAMI del Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar del departamento del Quindío. 2013 a 2014.
Metodología:
Estudio cualitativo con método de etnoenfermería, muestreo por saturación. Las informantes claves siete (7) madres que cumplían con los criterios de inclusión para un total de 21 entrevistas a profundidad y seis (6) informantes generales madres FAMI que laboran en el CAA del sur de Armenia, entrevistas realizadas y analizadas entre los años 2012 y 2013.
Resultados:
Del análisis surgieron 37 códigos, seis (6) patrones, y un tema: “La lactancia materna fuente de vida” con seis (6) patrones: la lactancia materna es ser madre; la lactancia materna asegura bebés sanos, inteligentes y seguros; lactar protege la madre; el apoyo una motivación para lactar; cuidarse la madre fortalece la lactancia y lo difícil de la lactancia.
Conclusiones:
El significado de la práctica de la lactancia materna para la madre en los primeros 6 meses de vida de su hijo que evidenciaron las madres lactantes que asistían al C.A.A. del Sur de Armenia se basó en patrones de conocimiento ético, donde se evidencia en el tema propuesto, mostrando coincidencias y aspectos prácticos a modificar
Background:
There have been different types of studies about the importance of breastfeeding, but few based on the relevance it has for the subjects involved, in this case the mother. For this reason, there is a need to explore the meaning given to the experience of the practice of breastfeeding.
Objective:
To describe the meaning of the experience of breastfeeding exclusively for the mother, during the first six months of life of her child, in a group of mothers from a FAMI home at the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare, Department of Quindío 2013-2014.
Methodology:
qualitative study with an ethnonursing method, saturation sampling. The key informants seven (7) women who met the inclusion criteria for a total of 21 in-depth interviews and six (6) general informant FAMI mothers who work in the CAA South area of Armenia, interviews and analysis done during 2012 and 2013.
Results:
From the analysis, 37 codes have emerged, six (6) patterns, and a theme: "Breastfeeding fountain of Life" with six (6) patterns: Breastfeeding is being a mother. Breastfeeding ensures healthy, smart and secure babies. Breastfeeding protects the mother. Support:
a motivation to breastfeeding. Caring herself the mother strengthens breastfeeding and difficulty of breastfeeding.
Conclusions:
The significance of the practice of breastfeeding for the mother in the first 6 months of life of her son that showed nursing mothers attending the C.A.A. South area of Armenia was based on patterns of ethical knowledge, which are evident in the proposed theme, showing similarities and practical aspects to modify.
