Objetivo:
Describir el significado que tiene la Lactancia Materna para madres con niño(a) en Programa Madre Canguro Ambulatorio.
Metodología:
Estudio de tipo cualitativo con abordaje etnográfico, utilizando como referente teórico a Madeleine Leininger a través de la teoría de la universalidad y diversidad de los cuidados culturales; el método de análisis se hizo según la entrevista y análisis etnográfico de James Spradley. Se efectuaron 24 entrevistas a profundidad a 9 madres puérperas, que acudían con sus hijos prematuros al Programa Canguro ambulatorio de un hospital de Bogotá, entrevistas realizadas y analizadas entre septiembre del 2016 y abril del 2017.
Resultados:
De la investigación surge el tema: dar leche materna al niño prematuro, un acto de amor; para las madres alimentar a su niño(a) prematuro con lactancia materna se describe en 7 dominios: 1. Amamantar con amor, 2. Dar leche materna humana al niño (a) canguro, 3. Extraer leche materna humana, 4. Cuidado de la enfermera canguro, 5. Uso del brasier, 6. Cuidado de los senos, 7. Aumentar la producción de leche materna humana.
Conclusiones:
Para la madre es gratificante el poder alimentar con su leche materna a su niño(a) prematuro, ellas le atribuyen a la lactancia materna el significado de amamantar la cual cuenta con dos formas de nutrición: una nutrición física y otra nutrición emocional.
Objective:
To describe the meaning of Breastfeeding for mothers with children in Kangaroo Mother Program.
Methodology:
A qualitative study with ethnographic approach, using as a theoretical reference Madeleine Leininger through the theory of the universality and diversity of cultural care was done; the method of analysis was made according to the interview and ethnographic analysis of James Spradley. Twenty-four in-depth interviews were conducted with 9 puerperal mothers, who came with their pre-term children to the ambulatory Kangaroo Program of a hospital in Bogotá, interviews conducted and analyzed between September 2016 and April 2017.
Results:
From the investigation arises the theme: giving breast milk to the premature child, an act of love; for mothers, feeding their premature child with breastfeeding is described in 7 domains: 1. Breastfeed with love, 2. Give milk maternal human to the child kangaroo, 3. Extract human breast milk, 4. Care of the kangaroo nurse, 5. Use of the bra, 6. Care of the breasts, 7. Increase the production of human breast milk.
Conclusions:
for the mother it is gratifying to be able to feed her premature child with her breast milk, they attribute to breastfeeding the meaning of breastfeeding which has two forms of nutrition: physical nutrition and other emotional nutrition.
