A pessoa, ao longo da sua vida, depara-se com variados desafios cuja resolução se prende com as capacidades de adaptação. O EESMP deve desenvolver intervenções que contribuam para a adequação das respostas da pessoa doente e família face aos problemas específicos relacionados com a doença mental, tendo como objetivo evitar o agravamento da situação e a desinserção social da pessoa doente, e promover a recuperação e qualidade de vida de toda a família. Este profissional de saúde deve desenvolver a capacidade de avaliação da funcionalidade da pessoa, fazendo um juízo adequado que possibilite a identificação das necessidades de intervenção, referenciação ou consultadoria com outros profissionais de saúde. O presente Relatório de Estágio tem como objetivo refletir acerca das intervenções terapêuticas do EESMP que promovem a saúde mental do cuidador informal, assim como descrever de forma reflexiva a aquisição de competências durante o percurso de Mestrado. Serão mobilizados os contributos do Modelo de Sistemas de Neuman, adotando uma visão holística e multidimensional da família. Para a execução deste relatório recorreu-se à metodologia de projeto, efetuando-se uma revisão integrativa de literatura, objetivando encontrar evidência científica que fundamentasse a elaboração de uma proposta de intervenção junto dos cuidadores informais.
The person, throughout his life, is faced with several challenges whose resolution is related to the adaptation capacities. The EESMP should develop interventions that contribute to the “adequacy of the responses of the sick person and family to the specific problems related to mental illness (…), with the objective of preventing the situation from worsening and the social disinsertion of the sick person, and promoting recovery and quality of life for the whole family. This health professional must develop the ability to assess the person's functionality, making an appropriate judgment that makes it possible to identify the needs for intervention, referral or consultation with other health professionals. This Internship Report aims to reflect on the therapeutic interventions of the EESMP that promote the mental health of the informal caregiver, as well as to describe in a reflexive way the acquisition of skills during the Master's course. The contributions of the Neuman Systems Model will be mobilized, adopting a holistic and multidimensional view of the family. For the execution of this report, the project methodology was used, carrying out an integrative literature review, aiming to find scientific evidence to support the elaboration of an intervention proposal with informal caregivers.
