Mapeamento da formação técnica de Enfermagem no estado do Rio de Janeiro: um estudo seccional
Mapping technical nursing training in the state of Rio de Janeiro: a cross-sectional study

Este estudo tem como objetivo mapear a formação do técnico em enfermagem (TE) no estado do Rio de Janeiro, analisando a distribuição dos cursos nos municípios. Os objetivos específicos são identificar as principais regiões e municípios que oferecem a formação técnica em enfermagem, quantificar o número médio de estudantes técnicos de enfermagem no estado e coletar dados das instituições através de ligação telefônica. Foram contactadas no estudo 372 instituições técnicas, sendo que 291 delas oferecem a formação técnica em enfermagem, e as demais não, embora constantes do cadastro. Os dados foram coletados entre outubro de 2022 e fevereiro de 2023. Esta dissertação faz parte de um projeto interinstitucional com o Instituto de Medicina Social da UERJ e seguiu as normas éticas estabelecidas pelo Conselho Nacional de Saúde. Os resultados mostram que existem 714 instituições de ensino técnico no Estado do Rio de Janeiro cadastradas, e informa-se que 39% delas oferecem a formação técnica em enfermagem. Das 372 instituições contactadas, 72% são privadas e 28% são públicas. Em 40% dos Municípios do estado não há instituições formadoras de TE, sendo que a cidade do Rio de Janeiro concentra a maior oferta de instituições formadoras. Os 10 municípios com a maior quantidade de cursos TE revelam a concentração da oferta educacional na região metropolitana do estado, o que contribui para a reprodução de desigualdades socio-regionais.
This study aims to map the training of nursing technicians (TE) in the state of Rio de Janeiro, analyzing the distribution of courses in municipalities. The specific objectives are to identify the main regions and municipalities that offer technical training in nursing, quantify the average number of technical nursing students in the state, and collect data from institutions through phone calls. In the study, 372 technical institutions were contacted, of which 291 offer technical training in nursing, while the others do not, although they are listed in the registry. The data was collected between October 2022 and February 2023. This dissertation is part of an interinstitutional project with the Institute of Social Medicine at UERJ and followed the ethical norms established by the National Health Council. The results show that there are 714 registered technical education institutions in the state of Rio de Janeiro, and it is reported that 39% of them offer technical training in nursing. Of the 372 institutions contacted, 72% are private and 28% are public. In 40% of the municipalities in the state, there are no TE training institutions, with the city of Rio de Janeiro having the highest number of training institutions. The 10 municipalities with the highest number of TE courses reveal the concentration of educational offerings in the metropolitan region of the state, which contributes to the reproduction of socio-regional inequalities.
