Educational needs in photoprotection for teachers, fathers and mothers of primary school students at the IPARM school in Bogotá

Esta investigación, de tipo cualitativo descriptivo, busca describir las necesidades educativas en fotoprotección para docentes, padres y madres de familia de estudiantes de primaria del colegio Instituto Pedagógico Arturo Ramírez Montúfar (IPARM) de Bogotá, captados en la sede de la institución educativa en el segundo semestre de 2022. La recolección de la información se lleva a cabo a través de entrevistas a profundidad, cuyo análisis se realiza con el método de análisis de contenido.
Del análisis de las entrevistas a profundidad, se originan tres temas relevantes. El Tema 1 se centra en el conocimiento en fotoprotección, del cual emergen tres categorías: Conocimiento relacionado con la salud, Conocimiento relacionado con las radiaciones y Conocimiento relacionado con los protectores solares.
El Tema 2 se refiere a las prácticas de cuidado en fotoprotección, compuesto por la categoría de Cuidado que, a su vez, integra las siguientes subcategorías: Uso de elementos de fotoprotección y Tiempo de exposición al sol; y la categoría Práctica en salud.
El Tema 3 aborda los factores que influyen en el uso de la fotoprotección, compuesto por las categorías Tecnología, familia, Profesional de la salud, Entorno escolar y Experiencias de otros.
A modo de conclusión, es posible afirmar que las necesidades educativas en fotoprotección de los docentes, padres y madres de estudiantes de primaria del colegio IPARM se enfocan en mejorar el conocimiento y las prácticas de cuidado en fotoprotección desde edades tempranas. Esto implica generar conciencia sobre la importancia de fotoprotegerse, promoviendo la salud con los elementos adecuados que garanticen la protección, teniendo en cuenta el lugar donde se encuentren, la hora de exposición a la luz solar, así como la permanencia en cuanto al uso de los dispositivos electrónicos. Para la enfermería, esto implica actuar en el contexto de la educación y promoción de la salud en el entorno escolar. (AU)
In qualitative research descriptive, that seeks to describe the educational needs in photoprotection for teachers, fathers and mothers of family of primary school students from the IPARM School of Bogotá, recruited at the headquarters of the educational institution in the second semester of 2022; the collection of information was done throughsemi-structured in-depth interview, the analysis was carried out with the content analysis method.
Three (3) emerged from the analysis big topics: Topic 1 Knowledge in photoprotection. Where from three arise (3) categories, health-related knowledge, radiation-related knowledge, and sunscreen-related knowledge.
Topic 2. Care practices in photoprotection, composed of the category of care that in turn integrates the subcategories, use of photoprotection elements and time of exposure to the sun. Practical category in health.
Topic 3. Influencing factors. Composed of the categories Technology, The Family, The health professional, school environment and experiences of others.
In conclusion it can be said that the educational needs in photoprotection for teachers, fathers and mothers of primary school students of the IPARM school, can be focused on in improving knowledge and care practices in photoprotección from an early age trying to generate arawareness of the importance of photoprotection for health promotion with the appropriate elements that ensure protection taking into account the place where they are, the time of exposure to sunlight, as well as the permanence in terms of the use of electronic devices. This implies for nursing, acting in the context of education and health promotion in the school environment. (AU)
