A percepção fenomenológica dos residentes multiprofissionais acerca do familiar/cuidador frente à sedação paliativa oncológica: proposta de um e-book didático-pedagógico

O câncer é um grave problema de saúde pública, estimasse que somente no Brasil 625 mil novos casos de câncer sejam registrados para cada ano do triênio 2020/2022 segundo o INCA. De acordo com a OMS mais de 20 milhões de pessoas a cada ano necessitam de Cuidados Paliativos ao final de suas vidas em todo o mundo, deste modo, o estudo ressalta a importância de entender o impacto causado ao residente multiprofissional, na abordagem e apoio do cuidador familiar diante da sedação paliativa. Tendo em vista ao exposto, foi delimitado como objetivo geral: compreender a percepção dos residentes multiprofissionais acerca do familiar/cuidador frente à sedação paliativa oncológica, e como objetivos específicos: descrever a percepção fenomenológica dos residentes multiprofissionais diante do familiar/cuidador frente a sedação paliativa oncológica; identificar as sugestões dos participantes do estudo acerca de como abordar/orientar o familiar/cuidador durante o processo de sedação paliativa oncológica e elaborar um e-book didático-pedagógico para os residentes sobre como abordar/orientar o familiar/cuidador durante o processo de sedação paliativa oncológica a partir das falas dos participantes do estudo. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva com abordagem qualitativa fundamentada nos fenômenos da existência de MerleauPonty. Após a aprovação do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa e anuência da Universidade Federal Fluminense, sob o Nº 5.392.734 e pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa e anuência do Instituto Nacional do Câncer, sob o Nº 5.538.733, iniciou-se a entrevista fenomenológica. Esta aconteceu nos meses de agosto a outubro de 2022 encerrando-se com 20 residentes. O cenário foi o setor de internação do Instituto Nacional do Câncer IV no estado do Rio de Janeiro. Os dados inerentes às entrevistas e expressões relacionadas à narratividade do corpo se complementaram e se reafirmaram entre si, resultando em quatro categorias: 1. Percebendo o conhecimento sobre sedação paliativa; 2. Carecimento do profissional que atua em Cuidados Paliativos; 3. A comparência da espiritualidade no processo de sedação paliativa e 4. Busca pela honradez no momento de finitude. Conclui-se que: O conhecimento científico é fundamental para uma assistência congruente, mas é a espiritualidade que alicerça para que esse profissional consiga trazer compaixão e empatia em sua assistência, além de manter-se fortalecido psiquicamente.
Cancer is a serious public health problem, it is estimated that in Brazil alone, 625,000 new cases of cancer are registered for each year of the 2020/2022 triennium, according to INCA. According to the WHO, more than 20 million people each year need Palliative Care at the end of their lives around the world, thus, the study emphasizes the importance of understanding the impact caused to the multiprofessional resident, in the approach and support of the family caregiver facing palliative sedation. In view of the above, the general objective was: to understand the perception of multidisciplinary residents about the family member/caregiver in the face of oncological palliative sedation, and as specific objectives: to describe the phenomenological perception of multidisciplinary residents in relation to the family
member/caregiver in the face of palliative sedation oncology; identify the suggestions of the study participants on how to approach/guide the family member/caregiver during the oncological palliative sedation process and prepare a didactic-pedagogical e-book for residents on how to approach/guide the family member/caregiver during the sedation process palliative oncology based on the speeches of the study participants. This is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach based on the phenomena of Merleau-Ponty's existence. After approval by the Research Ethics Committee and consent of the Fluminense Federal University, under nº 5,392,734 and by the Research Ethics Committee and consent of the National Cancer Institute, under nº 5,538,733, the phenomenological interview began. This took place from August to October 2022, ending with 20 residents. The scenario was the hospitalization sector of the National Cancer Institute IV in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The data inherent to the interviews and expressions related to the narrative of the body complemented and reaffirmed each other, resulting in four categories: 1. Realizing knowledge about palliative sedation; 2. Lack of professionals working in Palliative Care; 3. The presence of spirituality in the process of palliative sedation and 4. Search for honesty in the moment of finitude.
