Objetivo:
To document the incidence of new variant CJD (nvCJD) in the EU and to analyse potential risk factors for this condition and to assess whether nvCJD is present in countries such as Switzerland where the incidence of BSE is low to Canada and Australia where the exposure to BSE is likely to be minimal.
